Compare CRM for marketing agencies

The best CRM for marketing agencies, sorted by job.

A marketing agency needs a CRM that handles more than one sale: an audit, a proposal with a setup fee, then a retainer that renews every month. Some CRMs are built for exactly that, some are general sales tools that agencies adapt, and some come with client portals and white label.

How to choose

01What happens after the deal is won

An agency deal turns into a retainer. Pick a CRM where the proposal, the invoices and the delivery history stay on the client record.

02How the price grows

Per seat, per plan or per client. Price your team and your next ten clients, not your first month.

03Do clients log in

If clients use the system every week, a client portal and white label matter. If only your team uses it, they add little.

04Proposals and invoices built in

Every extra tool between the audit and the first invoice is a place where deals stall.

05Export before you commit

During the trial, export contacts, deals and notes, and open the file somewhere else.

06White label today or later

If clients must not see the vendor’s name this month, pick a CRM where white label is live now.

Questions

What is the best CRM for a small marketing agency?

For your own sales on a small budget, the free plans of HubSpot (2 users) and Zoho CRM (3 users) are a start, and Clientjoy and SuiteDash add proposals, invoices and a client portal for about $19. If you sell local SEO and want the client work in the same place, Synfinic is built for that.

Which CRMs for marketing agencies have white label today?

Of the CRMs on this list, GoHighLevel, SuiteDash and Clientjoy list white labeling on their own pricing pages. HubSpot, Pipedrive and Copper do not list it there. Synfinic’s white label is live: logo, colors and domain on every client account.

Do I need a CRM built for agencies?

Not always. If you only track new business, a general sales CRM such as Pipedrive or Copper works. Once you manage retainers, client portals and recurring invoices, an agency CRM saves the spreadsheets around it.

Is GoHighLevel a CRM?

Yes, among other things. Its pricing page lists CRM and pipelines as a core feature, next to funnels, calendars and messaging, with a sub-account for each client.

What is the difference between an agency CRM and Agent CRM?

Agent CRM is a CRM for insurance agents. A CRM for marketing agencies tracks prospects, proposals, retainers and the services delivered to each client.
